Are you an ambitious learner?
How does productivity and busyness drive or hinder the learning we do to fulfill our ambitions? What role does motivation play in becoming a truly ambitious learner? What does it actually mean to be an ‘ambitious learner’?
In this episode we unpack how being an ambitious learner can help us all achieve a life well-lived through learning.
Our pitch is that thoughtfulness, adaptability and continuous self-reflection are key. Questioning is, we think, particularly important given how strongly our environment can negatively influence our thinking – restricting our ambition to going through the motions of structured learning stages (such as exams or qualifications) or copying those around us without looking further for role models.
Taking in the great work of Cal Newport, our final message (spoiler alert!) is that becoming an ambitious learner means becoming a smart learner.
